‘Remembering Columbia’ Museum hosts watch party for final Shuttle Endeavour launch

HEMPHILL, TX – On Monday, May 16, 2011, the Patricia Huffman Smith NASA Museum ‘Remembering Columbia’ hosted a special live stream of the final launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The Hemphill museum invited visitors to watch the NASA broadcast and take part in a balloon release for the four-member STS-134 crew.

According to NASA, the mission objectives include delivering the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer-2, Express Logistics Carrier-3, and spare parts and a high-pressure gas tank for the Dextre robotic helper to the International Space Station.
