HEMPHILL, TX – Hemphill ISD high school art students will again display their artwork in the museum as part of a special fundraiser through the end of February.
37 pieces of space-themed artwork from teacher Heidy Griffin’s classes will be on display in the main gallery and will be auctioned off.
In a wonderful gesture of support for our mission, the students have asked to split the proceeds with the museum.
To place a ‘bid’ on any artwork, individuals may call the museum at (409) 787-4827 during normal business hours (Tuesday-Saturday, 10 AM – 5 PM) and provide the code listed in the caption of each piece of art on our Facebook page. A staff member will provide the caller with the current highest bid.
Winning bidders will be contacted the first week of March. Shipping can be arranged for winning bidders out-of-town.
The ‘Remembering Columbia’ Museum aims to support and expand the arts in our community as part of a commitment to support of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) educational initiatives.
