‘Remembering Columbia’ Museum announces launch of new website

HEMPHILL, TX – The Patricia Huffman Smith NASA Museum ‘Remembering Columbia’ is excited to announce the launch of a new content-rich website.

This marks the first major redesign of http://www.NASAColumbiaMuseum.com since 2016.

A clean look, new interactive features, and plenty of photos and videos will help tell the story of the ‘Remembering Columbia’ Museum.

“Visitors from around the world are making Hemphill a destination, specifically to see our museum,” said museum board member Lane Luckie. “This new design will help people better connect with our purpose and map out their visit to Sabine County.”

Among the site’s new sections and features:

  • Detailed descriptions of exhibits, artifacts, and museum highlights
  • Space Shuttle Columbia historical resources
  • Visitor information for museum, Sabine County points of interest
  • Ways to volunteer with the museum, join Friends of the Museum
  • Secure online payment system for donations, memberships
  • Online application form for scholarships
  • Registration/payment for events like annual golf tournament & Galactic Gala
  • Dedicated feed for current and past news releases

The new design also allows for easier addition of new features and special projects as they are announced in the future.
