The STS-107 Crew Gallery is a memorial to the crew members of Columbia’s final mission. In collaboration with the astronaut’s families, each display is an intimate window into the personalities of Rick Husband, Willie McCool, David Brown, Kalpana Chawla, Michael Anderson, Laurel Clark, and Ilan Ramon.
Family photos, clothing, personal effects, and items recovered among the debris field give a glimpse of the exceptional individuals whose memories are honored here.
Additional display cases are also dedicated to volunteers Charles Krenek, of the Texas Forest Service, and helicopter pilot Jules “Buzz” Mier, Jr. They gave their lives when a helicopter went down in San Augustine County in March 2003 as part of the Columbia recovery effort.
